Aerial Work Platforms: Quarterly Aerial Lift Inspection Checklist
As preventive maintenance and to meet occupational safety guidelines it is important to inspect every aerial device in service.
5,000 Companies save time and money with GoCanvas
Quarterly safety inspections, or every 300 hours of use (whichever occurs first), are conducted to ensure aerial lift equipment will operate correctly and is in good condition.
Using the handy checklist, operators and worksite managers can ensure aerial lift safety by inspecting all fall restraints, the lift platform, ladders, and vertical mast lifts and body harnesses. When on-site, the surrounding work area must also be free of hazards.
This also includes checking all personal protective equipment and ensuring that operator training has been completed prior to beginning work.
Regardless of the aerial lift equipment you are inspecting - articulating boom lifts, maintenance stands, lift trucks - it's important to take safety precautions and correct any hazards before the devices are put in operation.
With the periodic inspection of all elevated work platforms and fall protection equipment, you can increase safe operation practices and protect your operators and lift personnel from injury.
With this inspection form on the lift operator's Smartphone there is no excuse to miss an inspection. Save each report directly to the GoCanvas Cloud for easy access by management and equipment repair mechanics. Generate a PDF to send the inspection safety report to OSHA officials as requested.

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
