It is the responsibility of the principal investigator / supervisor of each lab to make sure that all employees are familiar with these guidelines and have received the proper training in the management of the specific biohazardous materials that they generate. The proper segregation, processing and disposal of biological / biohazardous wastes generated in any laboratory are the responsibility of the person or persons who have generated the waste.
