In corrosive environments (humidity, salt, H2S, etc.) an increase in the inspection frequency should be considered. This would include checking for internal corrosion on tubular style members on a more expedited schedule. Following an exposure to temperatures exceeding 500-degree F, the affected areas of the structure should be inspected for distortion. Exposure to heat, above the critical temperature of the grade of steel, warrants further examination of the affected area by a qualified person
