The Program monitors user compliance with all governing regulations for recycled water use. The Program is integrated into the overall organization of the District’s Wastewater Treatment Plan (WWTP). Recycled water is distributed to users through a District owned and operated distribution system. The system often serves large industrial customers as well as irrigation users. The app includes a detailed Control Testing and Procedure checklist. The procedures are to verify the absence of cross-connections between the potable water and recycled water supplies at sites which are served by both. These procedures also describe what to do in case cross-connection is discovered.
